Need an Indoor Activity? Check out Giggles and Curls!

The newest album from Kymberly Stewart

For those who have been following our Macaroni Kid events for the past few years, you have probably seen Kymberly Stewart perform at one of our events. Kymberly often graces our events with her amazing songs and her unique talent for engaging the audience.

Kym is a local mother of two. She is a teacher and a musician, who performs her upbeat musical creations all over the state. She is our absolute favorite, both as a person and a performer.

Now, Kymberly is bringing her distinctive, upbeat voice into our homes with her newest album, Giggles and Curls.

The boys and I were recently given the opportunity to listen to the entire album, and had such a fun time doing so. The album is made up of 8 songs, some familiar, but most original and engaging in a way only Kymberly can be.

The boys have always loved “I am a robot”, and were excited to see that song on this album. The song is a cheerful and catchy tune about a robot who likes to dance and sing. Your kids won’t want to stop singing this one!

My personal favorite is “Let’s Pop Some Corn”, which sounds to me like a kid friendly 90s jam. No matter what you enjoy, though, each song is upbeat, interactive, educational, and different than the one before it. You can’t help but sing and dance along.

During these challenging times, I really appreciate having this album around. We have used it as a PE album, and it is the perfect mix of optimism and energy to keep us going and get our wiggles out. Although energetic, the album wraps up perfectly with the final song, entitled “Hey Mr. Moon.” This fun, yet relaxing ballad calms the kids down and resets the energy level to normal. Which we all know is key when stuck in the house!

I definitely recommend checking out Giggles and Curls. You and the kids will love it!

You can find Kymberly's new album on all the usual streaming services, including iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music. And be sure to follow Kymberly on Facebook, where she posts fun updates, music, and stories.
